MMS on the iPhone

Dear Cupertino,

I’ve had about 30 people write in with this one. Frankly I agree. Now I don’t know everything there is to know about iPhone and Cell technology, but it seems if every other phone in the world can send photos through MMS, why can’t the iPhone?

It’s great to be able to send photo’s via email, but you know, sometimes (read: never) I don’t know the email address of my friend’s phones. Please? MMS.

Thanks!

Dear Cupertino readers

Damn straight! I get MMS all the time, too, and have to use that sad piece of crap, viewmymessage.com WTF, Apple? That's terrible, and if you don't fix it, hopefully a third-party app will.

I agree. MMS is a pretty big deal here in Europe... I would say 90% of messaging is done via MMS today and I'm not able to receive those on my iPhone :(. I mean what's the big deal of not having the MMS? That's lame APPLE!

How hard is it to expand the SMS app to be also able to display/create MMSs?

why can't it just be inline with the text in a text message, just like when you send a picture in ichat it shows up in the same window with the text above it

Considering how long Apple and AT&T have had to sort out the MMS nonsense, I am wondering if anyone has considered a class action law suit against them. The viewmymessage.com website would be thoroughly unacceptable coming from a mom and pop nickel and dime corner store attempting to do something on the web. Coming from AT&T, it is totally disgusting - this is something that they are deliberately keeping lousy. I don't know what their motivation is, but something tells me that it is going to take legal action to change it.

Not that they care, they are AT&T - bad service is what they strive for. And a gazillion irritating calls after you dump them - which there is no way to stop either.
